Never too late?

I’ve been waiting for this day for quite a while. It’s the day when the leaders of the two major American open-wheeled racing circuits finally remove their collective head from their hindend and decide to join forces once again.
And all it took was losing every single star who remained in IndyCar and Champ Car to the better run, more lucrative NASCAR circuit.
Maybe they saw the writing on the wall. Or maybe there weren’t enough drivers left to fill out a complete starting grid without joining forces.
Whatever the reason, it comes a few years too late. People just don’t care about Indy cars anymore. And now the jumps of Sam Hornish Jr., Dario Franchitti and Patrick Carpentier to stock cars drives the interest in the open wheel circuit even lower.
